Usability, accesibility, standards and bla bla...

My experience of web pusblishing started in the mid 90's and we didnt know anything about usabiity or heard anything about standard web publishing. Since a few years back the market of browsers and difficulty have been more stable in order to be able to develop standard websites and we are today only producing highly usable and accessible website productions. I might be speaking for myself but i learn from from my own project studies.

World Wide Web Consortium Standards

The website publishing standard used today should normally be HTML 4.0 transitional with a possibility to have a easier and not so strict rules for development.I decided to go for the most difficult XHTML 1.0 strict standard where the validation can be a bit more difficult but as i handcode all my website pages I have a better control of everything I develop and implement such as RSS feeds, JavaScript, XML or other solutions for validate the accessibility websites I need to in order to work.

Standards & search engine optimization

Creating standard XHTML CSS websites today increase the possibility of traffic and Ranking Quality for the search engines. The XHTML/CSS Development is one of hte reasons where development is separated in two different parts. With the semantic mark-up the content are to be developed into each page of the website structure and titles and paragraphs will be styled and behavior managed with CSS.

The fantastic difference is that the size of the web page will increase with 80% fomr a old table designed website development, It was the time where web designers was creating table designed websites and we did it the wrong old terrible way for both usability, accesibility and loading time.
